MEET THE ALUMNI

FCS's Alumni is extremely diverse and influential. FCS has involved alumni who have went to prestigious colleges, who are teachers, mayors, politicians, council members, performers, restaurant owners, serve for the US military, and much more. It is the leadership of our past alumni that has inspired this year's board to keep the program alive. After all, if FCS has made some contribution to help our alumni grow into the amazing people they are today, then a program like this deserves to stay alive and prosper for many years to come...

Malu Garcia was a teacher for Filipino culture, history, Tagalog, and arts for all levels from 1999-2011. She wrote & directed a skit every year to illustrate the FCS theme. She co-coordinated & designed the program to streamline and added i.e.martial arts, music, & cooking to the curriculum. She also recruited sponsors, credentialed teachers, experts, parents and student volunteers. She contacted venues and even designed the FCS logo. She is now retired from Bellflower USD and is currently a substitute teacher for Norwalk La Mirada and ABC Unified.

Rosario Wells

Past Music Teacher

Rosario Wells is an RN and a graduate of UST COLLEGE OF NURSING Class 65. She is a Retired Nurse Manager after 35 years at the Va Medical Center Long Beach, California. She was also the Pianist for the St Linus Church Filipino Choir, Holy Family Cursillo Choir, and provides music for Weddings Funerals and Anniversaries. She taught Filipino songs for Filipino Cultural School for 3 years 2009-2011. Rosario is so proud of Filipino Cultural School and her niece and nephews. They always look forward to attending the classes and meeting new friends.They are learning a lot about our Filipino culture and traditions and enjoying a lot !! Rosario does not regret paying for their tuition..it is worth it.
