MEET THE TEACHERS

Teachers have been specifically chosen by Board to teach certain subjects of FCS. Board chooses the teachers based on their array of knowledge, experience, characteristics, and teaching ability. Board has the utmost faith in its teachers this year and believes that each of our teachers have the ability to empower their students. This year, our teachers range from high school students to post-graduates and from an FCS student of 8 years to a first-timer new to FCS.

Emma Biscocho

Dance

Emma Biscocho is 17 years old and is going into her senior year at Long Beach Poly High School. She has been part of FCS for 8 years and has spent the last 4 years teaching & performing cultural dances. She is also a member of the Image Pinoy Dance Troupe, a dance group affiliated with FCS to raise money and spread the word for the school. Emma has such a passion for FCS because it has given her great griends & a passion for her culture. 

Anna Biscocho

Music

Anna Biscocho is an 18 years old graduate from Millikan High School and is going to be a freshman at Azusa Pacific University majoring in Commercial Music with an emphasis in Voice in the fall. She has been involved in FCS for 8 years and has been a teacher for the most recent 4! Anna has been very involved in choice and theatre for 8 years. She is honored and excited to be a part of this new all-student led program!

Lowell Mansilla

Dance

Lowell Mansilla is currently 19 years old and is an incoming third year at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) with a major in Aerospace Engineeering. He graduated as valedictorian of Whitney High School in 2011. In high school, Lowell was heavily involved in Club Kai and Pilipino Cultural Nights. This past school year, he was Rural Co-Coordinator for Samahang Pilipino Cultural Night (SPCN) at UCLA and was responsible for choreographing and teaching Tinikling, Pandanggo sa Ilaw, and Lapay. This upcoming school year, Lowell has been chosen to be Assistance Dance Coordinator for SPCN. 

Justin De La Fuente

Music

Justin De la Fuente is a 3rd Year at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) majoring in Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular Genetics. Justin graduated from Cerritos High School as Valedictorian and has been practicing piano and singing since he was young. He has been a part of UCLA’s Samahang Pilipino Culture Night as an actor, dancer, and choral director. Justin hopes to take his musical training and combine it with what he has learned by participating in culture nights to share that knowledge with the FCS students.

Neille Apostol

History, Language, & Pilipino Cultural Nights 

Neille Apostol is currently a third year double major in Biochemistry and French/Francophone Studies at UCLA, pursuing a career in pharmacy. Being involved in Samahang Pilipino at UCLA, he has had experience teaching about Pilipino cultural nights and Philippine/Pilipino-American history. He has become a part of FCS this year because he dearly values education and culture, and hopes to bring those to the future generation.

Charles Caguioa

Charles Caguioa is a Mathematics Major currently attending Cerritos College. He graduated as Valedictorian at La Joya Community High School in 2012, and has continually been involved in various organizations, even having the honor to be the next incoming president of the International Student Association in Cerritos College. Charles enjoys helping children to experience and pursue his passion to teach. He hopes to give a valuable and different experience of education that children will surely learn from and enjoy.
